Day 01 :

Arusha → Tarangire National Park

Driving: Approximately 2–3 hours
Activity: Game drive

Your adventure begins with a morning departure from Arusha toward Tarangire National Park, one of northern Tanzania's most distinctive wildlife areas.

As you enter the park, the scenery transforms into a beautiful combination of open savannah, acacia woodland, seasonal wetlands, and enormous ancient baobab trees.

Tarangire is particularly famous for its large elephant populations, and your game drive may also reveal lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes, antelopes, monkeys, and an impressive variety of birdlife.

Enjoy a picnic lunch in a designated area before continuing your afternoon game drive.

Later, leave the park and proceed to your mid-range accommodation for dinner and relaxation.

Day 02 :

Tarangire → Ngorongoro Crater → Karatu

Driving: Approximately 3–4 hours excluding game-drive time
Activity: Ngorongoro Crater game drive

After breakfast, continue toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Descend into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater, one of the world's most remarkable natural wildlife environments. The crater's enclosed ecosystem supports an extraordinary variety of animals and provides excellent opportunities for wildlife viewing.

During the game drive, keep an eye out for lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, hyenas, and numerous bird species. The crater is also an important habitat for the black rhinoceros, although sightings are never guaranteed.

Enjoy a picnic lunch in a designated area before continuing your exploration.

Later, ascend from the crater and continue toward Karatu, where you will spend the night before heading deeper into the Serengeti.

Day 03 :

Karatu → Central Serengeti

After breakfast, begin your journey toward the legendary Serengeti National Park.

As you enter the Serengeti, the landscape opens into the vast plains that have made this destination one of Africa's most iconic wildlife regions.

Enjoy a game drive en route toward Central Serengeti, an area known for its year-round resident wildlife and excellent predator sightings.

The region offers opportunities to encounter lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, gazelles, hyenas, and many other species.

Your guide will select suitable areas based on wildlife activity, recent sightings, road conditions, and seasonal patterns.

Continue toward your accommodation for dinner and an evening surrounded by the sounds of the African wilderness.

Day 04 :

Central Serengeti → Northern Serengeti

Driving: Approximately 4–6 hours depending on route and wildlife stops
Activity: Full-day game drive

Today you travel deeper into one of Tanzania's most spectacular wilderness regions—the Northern Serengeti.

After breakfast, begin a game drive toward the northern reaches of the park. Rather than treating the journey simply as transportation, your route becomes part of the safari, with opportunities to stop whenever interesting wildlife is encountered.

As you approach Northern Serengeti, the landscape becomes increasingly rugged and remote. Rocky outcrops, open plains, woodland, and riverine environments provide habitat for a wide range of wildlife.

Northern Serengeti is particularly famous for the seasonal movement of the Great Wildebeest Migration. At certain times of year, large herds may move through the region and gather around river areas. If the migration is in the northern Serengeti during your visit, your guide will position the safari according to current herd movements and local conditions.

During other seasons, Northern Serengeti remains an outstanding wildlife destination, offering opportunities to see resident elephants, lions, leopards, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, and many other species.

Northern Serengeti → Central Serengeti → Arusha

Travel: Serengeti → Arusha

Wake early for a final morning game drive in Northern Serengeti.

The early hours can provide excellent opportunities to observe wildlife as the wilderness becomes active. Depending on the season and location, you may encounter predators returning from nighttime activity, elephants moving through the plains, giraffes feeding, or large herds of grazing animals.

After the game drive, begin your journey back toward Arusha, continuing through the Serengeti and surrounding landscapes.

Depending on your preferred travel arrangements and schedule, the journey can be completed by road or combined with a domestic flight from the Serengeti to Arusha.

Arrive in Arusha later in the day, marking the end of your 5 Days Tanzania Safari.
