Your Tanzania safari begins with a morning departure from Arusha toward Tarangire National Park.

As you approach the park, the landscape changes dramatically, revealing open grasslands, acacia woodland, seasonal wetlands, and enormous ancient baobab trees.

Tarangire is particularly famous for its large elephant populations, and the park provides excellent opportunities to observe these magnificent animals in their natural environment. During your game drive, you may also encounter lions, leopards, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes, antelopes, and a wide variety of bird species.

Enjoy a picnic lunch in a designated area before continuing your afternoon game drive.

As the day comes to an end, leave the park and continue to your accommodation for dinner and relaxation.

After breakfast, begin your journey toward the legendary Serengeti National Park.

The drive itself becomes part of the safari experience as you travel through the spectacular landscapes of northern Tanzania. Along the way, you will pass through changing ecosystems and may encounter wildlife outside the main parks.

After entering Serengeti, begin your game drive as you make your way toward your accommodation.

The Serengeti is famous for its vast plains and extraordinary concentration of wildlife. Depending on the season and location of the herds, you may encounter large numbers of wildebeest and zebra alongside predators such as lions, cheetahs, and leopards.

Continue exploring the park before arriving at your lodge or tented camp.

Enjoy dinner beneath the African sky and prepare for a full day of Serengeti exploration.

Activity: Full-day game drive

Wake up to the sounds of the African wilderness and prepare for a full day exploring the Serengeti.

After breakfast, set out on a morning game drive when wildlife is often particularly active. Your experienced safari guide will help you search for the park's iconic animals while explaining the behavior, ecology, and interconnectedness of the Serengeti ecosystem.

The Serengeti offers opportunities to encounter the Big Five as well as cheetahs, giraffes, hippos, hyenas, zebras, wildebeest, gazelles, and hundreds of bird species.

Depending on the season, you may also witness different stages of the Great Wildebeest Migration, although wildlife movements are naturally unpredictable.

Enjoy a picnic lunch or lodge lunch before continuing your afternoon exploration.

As the sun begins to descend over the plains, return to your accommodation for dinner and a relaxing evening.

Activity: Crater game drive
Driving to Arusha: Approximately 3–4 hours after the crater

Rise early and depart Serengeti toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Upon arrival at the crater, descend into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive.

The crater's enclosed ecosystem supports a remarkable concentration of wildlife, providing excellent opportunities to see lions, elephants, buffaloes, hippos, zebras, wildebeest, hyenas, and numerous other species.

The crater is also one of the places where visitors may have an opportunity to search for the black rhinoceros, although sightings are never guaranteed.

Enjoy a picnic lunch in a designated area before continuing your exploration of this extraordinary natural environment.

Later, ascend from the crater and begin the journey back toward Arusha.

Arrive in Arusha in the late afternoon or evening, marking the end of your 4 Days Tanzania Classic Safari.
