
Day 1: Arrival in Arusha – Welcome to Tanzania
On arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our professional safari guide and transferred to your hotel in Arusha town. This day is designed for rest and relaxation after your international journey. Depending on your arrival time, you may enjoy a short city tour of Arusha, visit local markets, or simply relax at your lodge while enjoying views of Mount Meru. In the evening, you will receive a detailed safari briefing from your guide, preparing you for the exciting adventure ahead. Dinner and overnight stay in Arusha.
Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, you will depart Arusha for Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania’s most underrated wildlife gems. The park is famous for its massive elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, and the life-giving Tarangire River, which attracts a wide variety of animals throughout the year. Enjoy a full-day game drive where you may spot elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, and numerous bird species. In the afternoon, you will head to your lodge or tented camp located near the park for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 3: Tarangire to Lake Manyara National Park
Following breakfast, you will drive to Lake Manyara National Park, a beautiful and diverse park nestled at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment. The park is known for its lush groundwater forest, flamingo-filled lake, and the famous tree-climbing lions. During the game drive, you may encounter elephants, hippos, baboons, monkeys, giraffes, and a wide variety of birdlife. After enjoying a picnic lunch inside the park, you will continue with more wildlife viewing before heading to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Lake Manyara to Serengeti National Park
After an early breakfast, you will begin your journey to the world-renowned Serengeti National Park, passing through the scenic Ngorongoro Conservation Area. As you enter Serengeti, the landscape opens into endless plains stretching as far as the eye can see. Enjoy a game drive en route to your camp, where you may spot lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, giraffes, and large herds of wildebeests and zebras. The day ends with dinner and an overnight stay at a tented camp or lodge inside Serengeti.
Day 5: Full Day Game Drive in Serengeti National Park
This day is dedicated to a full exploration of Serengeti National Park. After breakfast, you will set out for an extensive game drive, giving you the best chance to witness the park’s incredible wildlife and dramatic predator-prey interactions. Depending on the season, you may observe the Great Migration, where millions of wildebeests and zebras move across the plains in search of fresh grazing. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush before continuing your afternoon game drive. Return to your camp in the evening for dinner and overnight under the African sky.
Day 6: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area
After breakfast, you will enjoy a final morning game drive in Serengeti before departing towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. This scenic drive offers stunning views and opportunities to spot wildlife along the way. Upon arrival, you will stop at the Ngorongoro Crater rim, where you will be rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views of the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera. Dinner and overnight will be at a lodge located near the crater rim or within the conservation area.
Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater Tour – Return to Arusha
After an early breakfast, you will descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a memorable game drive. The crater is home to an incredible concentration of wildlife, including lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeests, hippos, and the rare black rhinoceros. Enjoy wildlife viewing on the crater floor, followed by a picnic lunch near the hippo pool. In the afternoon, you will ascend from the crater and drive back to Arusha, marking the end of your unforgettable 7-day Tanzania safari.
