Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arusha – Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel in Arusha and drive to Lake Manyara National Park. Upon arrival, you will enjoy a game drive through the park.

Lake Manyara offers a unique mix of ecosystems, including dense groundwater forests, open grasslands, and the alkaline lake along the Rift Valley escarpment. During the game drive, you may encounter elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, hippos, baboons, monkeys, and a wide variety of bird species. The park is also famous for its tree-climbing lions, which may be spotted resting in acacia trees.

A picnic lunch will be served inside the park. In the late afternoon, you will drive to your lodge or campsite near the Ngorongoro Conservation Area for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha

After an early breakfast, you will drive to the Ngorongoro Crater and descend into the crater floor for an unforgettable game drive.

The Ngorongoro Crater is one of Africa’s most remarkable wildlife areas, offering excellent chances to see lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, and, with luck, the rare black rhino. The high concentration of wildlife within the crater makes it one of the best safari destinations in Africa.

After enjoying a picnic lunch inside the crater, you will ascend back to the rim and drive back to Arusha, arriving in the late afternoon.
